Developed as part of my SP 482 Screenwriting Internship, this original feature-length screenplay was also submitted to Chapman University’s Dodge College and The University of Texas at Austin’s Michener Center for Writers as part of my MFA applications. The story follows a washed-up musician who gets one last shot at redemption by reuniting his old band for a chaotic “Battle of the Bands” competition.

Writing Talon taught me how to structure a long-form screenplay, build character arcs through humor and emotional truth, and balance satire with sincerity. The project reflects my creative voice—a mix of rock-and-roll energy, comedy, and redemption—and connects directly to my interdisciplinary studies in music, writing, and performance.
