Hi, I'm Brett. I’m a Los Angeles-based singer, writer, and performer who returned to school after a 20-year hiatus.

Since returning, I’ve approached every class with ardent focus and steadfast discipline, earning consistent A’s in every course as I work toward graduating this fall with my B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies.

I have discovered that art, culture, and academics are most meaningful when approached interdisciplinarily. My journey has taken me through music, acting, casting, screenwriting, and publishing, and now I’m excited to take the next step by pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing to keep building my voice as both an artist and storyteller.

 

My work and life experience combine creativity and storytelling with the genuine intention of inspiring others through art and expression. I am dedicated to creating stories that connect, entertain, and inspire. I bring a unique interdisciplinary perspective that blends creativity, research, and real-world experience into compelling narratives that celebrate the human experience.

Beyond my academic and professional career, I’m a happily married cat-dad who loves to cook, hike, read, and explore. I look forward to bringing my passion, discipline, and creativity to an MFA program as I continue to grow as a writer, with the goal of developing my voice and preparing to teach and inspire future students.
